Diffusion model

A diffusion model is the type of AI behind most image and video generators; it builds a picture by gradually turning random noise into an image that matches your prompt.

In practice: During training it learns to remove noise from images step by step. To generate, it starts from pure noise and removes it in many small steps, guided by your text. The same approach powers inpainting, upscaling and many video tools.

Why it matters when picking a tool

Different diffusion models have clear strengths: some are better at photorealism, some at illustration, some at readable text inside images. Compare sample outputs for your use case, how much control you get over style and composition, and the licence for commercial use.
