Copilot

A copilot is an AI assistant built into an app you already use, helping as you work rather than working on its own.

In practice: Examples are code suggestions inside an editor, draft replies inside an email client, or formula help inside a spreadsheet. The copilot sees what you are working on and suggests the next step, but you stay in control and accept or reject each suggestion.

Why it matters when picking a tool

A copilot inside a tool your team already uses often beats a separate AI app, because it needs no switching and no new login. Compare what it can see (one file or your whole workspace), whether it is included or an extra per-seat charge, and how your data is handled.
