This free extension pulls the useful content off any webpage and asks ChatGPT, using either GPT-3.5 or GPT-4, to summarize it, and it can also summarize just a portion of text you select manually. Beyond a straight summary, you can edit or replace the generated text to turn it into an interactive question-and-answer session. It runs entirely on your own OpenAI API key, which you configure along with a custom API host if needed, so it costs nothing beyond your own API usage but requires that setup step before it does anything.
