Scored by a Toolio reviewer after real useOur verdict
Vidyard's screen recorder captures your screen or webcam in a few clicks, then shares a link that tells you exactly when someone watches it, aimed at moving sales and customer conversations forward. AI auto-generates video titles from the transcript, and basic trimming and stitching cover quick edits without a separate editor. It's built for outreach and account management rather than casual clip-sharing, and going further, mobile recording or deeper video management, means using Vidyard's other apps beyond this extension.
✓What it does well
Screen and webcam recordingRecords your screen, webcam, or both directly from the browser.
View trackingNotifies you whenever someone watches a video you shared.
Auto-generated titlesGenerates clear video titles automatically from the transcript.
✕Where it falls short
Built for outreach, not casual clipsAimed squarely at sales and customer outreach, without the lightweight feel of a purely personal recorder.
Platform lock-inFull editing, hosting, and tracking tie you into the Vidyard platform, without a local file you fully own outside it.
Extra apps needed for mobileRecording elsewhere requires separate iOS, Android, or desktop apps beyond this Chrome extension.
