Can AI cull and sort a wedding or event shoot?
Yes. Culling tools score sharpness, closed eyes and duplicates, and group similar frames so you pick fewer by hand. They do not know which moments mattered to the couple, so a quick manual pass over the selected set is still worth doing.
Does AI upscaling add real detail to a photo?
It adds plausible detail rather than recovering lost detail. Upscalers such as Upscayl predict textures from training data, which looks good for prints and crops but can alter faces, text and fine patterns. Avoid it where accuracy matters, such as documentary or evidence work.
Should photographers disclose AI edits to clients?
It is good practice, and sometimes required. Contests, stock agencies and news clients often restrict generative fill or object removal. Routine retouching is usually fine, but check the contract and platform rules, and keep your original raw files.
