How accurate is automatic transcription?

On clear single-speaker audio it is often very good. Background noise, heavy accents, specialist vocabulary and people talking over each other all cause errors. Plan to proofread against the audio, especially names, numbers and anything that will be quoted or used legally.

Can AI replace human transcriptionists?

For casual notes, largely yes. For legal, medical or broadcast work, clients still want a human-verified record with correct speaker labels and verbatim detail. Many transcriptionists now edit machine drafts rather than type, which changes the job more than it removes it.

Is it legal to record and transcribe a call?

Laws differ by country and state, and some require every participant to consent. Tell people at the start that you are recording. Check where the tool stores audio and transcripts too, since interviews and meetings can contain private information.
