Video generators create short clips from a text prompt, a still image or a script, with motion, scenes and sometimes voice-over. Marketers, social creators and filmmakers use them for ads, concepts and storyboards. Examples include Dream Machine, Pixary AI and Makefilm AI. Clip length and consistency are the main limits: most tools make a few seconds at a time, so longer stories need stitching.
Most tools produce short clips of a few seconds to a few tens of seconds per generation. Longer videos are made by joining several clips. Check each tool's current limits, since they differ and change as models update.
They can look convincing, but faces, hands and movement still glitch in many clips. Using realistic people raises consent and disclosure issues, so label synthetic footage and avoid imitating real individuals.
Text-to-video builds a scene from a written description alone, which gives variety but less control. Image-to-video animates a picture you provide, so the look is fixed and you steer only the motion. The second is better when a character must stay consistent.
