Animators plan scenes, build characters, set motion and render finished clips for film, social video and games. Questions people ask

Can AI make a full animated film?

Not on its own. Current tools generate short clips, and keeping characters, style and motion consistent across scenes is still hard. Most animators use AI for storyboards, backgrounds, in-betweens or rough motion, then assemble and correct the result in traditional animation software.

What is the difference between AI animation and AI motion capture?

AI animation generators create movement from a prompt or image, so you describe what you want. Motion-capture style tools, such as Movmi or Cascadeur-type pose helpers, derive movement from video or physics, which gives you more control over timing and keeps rigged characters editable.

Who owns AI-generated animation?

Ownership depends on the tool's terms and on local copyright law, which often gives weaker protection to machine-made output. Check commercial-use clauses and any restrictions on training data before delivering animated work to a client or publishing a series.
